Description

Lake trout tastes best when going straight from the lake to the table. An oily variety of fish high in carotene, they’re delicious when cut into thick chunks, breaded, and fried with salt and pepper. They also taste great when smoked. Beware the darker reddish strip that runs down the side of the fillets, as most people find it tastes too strong, although everybody agrees the light meat is delicious.
